God came to us at Christmas through Jesus so that we can have a relationship with Him.
Relationships are big to God. He wants to have one with each of us and has given us the privilege and responsibility to be His light in a dark world through relationships.
Psalm 68:5 tells us that God is the Father of the fatherless. The word ‘Father’ can only be understood within the context of a relationship. The word ‘fatherless’ can only be defined by speaking of a lost relationship.
The mission of Long Island Youth Mentoring is to assist the church in building relationships with the Fatherless and in doing so point to the ultimate relationship with God. Here is a video that interviews one mom, of one boy who lost his dad before he was born. You will also meet this boy’s mentor in this 3-minute clip.
Please sit back and see the way God expresses His love to a widow and a fatherless boy, through the life of one mentor who is a missionary to a Long Island mission field of one.
